The Posse Foundation partners with 44 partner colleges and universities in 18 states to provide free college scholarships and all expenses paid to over 1500 college students each year.  Every year NYC debaters are finalists and winners for this coveted scholarship program. This year is no exception! Guilberly Loussaint of ACORN Community HS and Elizah Morales of the Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice are 2012-2013 Finalists!  Congratulations!

Founded in 1989, Posse identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential. Posse extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams-Posses-of 10 students. Posse partner colleges and universities award Posse Scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships.  For over 20 years, Posse partner colleges and universities have welcomed Posse Scholars onto their campuses. They have awarded an incredible $486 million in leadership scholarships to these young people and have seen their success not only as leaders on campus, but in these students’ 90 percent graduation rate.  Good luck to this year’s corps of Posse Scholars!
